Snowdrop
I took a trip to RHS Wisley today, primarily to see the "Houseplant Takeover - Plants Before Time" display in the glasshouse. The display had a lighter touch from previous years, taking full advantage of the existing plantings to tell the story of prehistoric plants, but was interesting nevertheless.
Afterwards, it was time for a walk around the gardens which were already waking up with some early spring displays. I don't believe I have ever seen so many snowdrops; apparently we are due a bumper year because of the mild winter. It was also pleasing to see some insect life, including some large bees enjoying the hellebores (extra).
All in all a good day!
