A Day At A Time.

Where Eagles Dare

The Festival of San Juan: Men and women, young people and children, all spend time building bonfires on the beach. According to tradition, if people jump over a bonfire three times on San Juan's night, they will be cleansed and purified, and their problems burned away. So the fun begins at midnight on June 23rd.

This sounds great and everybody frolics on the beach having a good time.

The down side is that I am confronted by a class of 15 year-olds who did not get to bed until 5 o'clock in the morning and so are incapable of functioning! Why bother coming to school at all? Quite a few didn't.

Ah well. Welcome to Andalucia!

And roll on Friday!
