Another Big Bird …

… a Bearded Vulture, searching the avalanche tracks for any poor chamois that might have been caught out! It was a long but beautiful walk up towards the Pas de Chevielle today. You can see more avalanche debris in extra with Linds walking up towards it. These are big spring avalanches that should not come down till March/April but it is so hot! 

Huge thanks for the amazing response to yesterday’s late blip of the Eurasian Eagle Owl, a first for me! (And Google translated the French wrongly, it is not a Great Horned Owl, those are in the Americas! Apologies). I shall not be able to thank you individually for a while, we have visitors coming in 10 minutes, for dinner!
