Exploding Bulrushes

I got as close as I could without sinking up to my ankles in the boggy ground round the pond on the periphery of the woodland in Dumfries House Estate. There are more bulrushes growing there than anywhere else I have seen. I thought I heard some quacking but I couldn't see any ducks.

Hundreds of clumps of snowdrops but having blipped some recently I left the Dumfries Estate ones in peace and undisturbed.
