WIND FARM

A coastal view of the mouth of the River Tees at Redcar. This is now home to a new Wind Farm and this image shows 19 of the 27 turbines nearly completed. Several Blippers have already visited this area.

I have read so much about Wind Power and still cannot help but think that utilising Wave Power would be the best option for the UK.

One person suggested that should one of these turbines breakdown then it cannot be repaired. Hmm . . . modern decision-making suggests that this may even be true. Tis all about subsidies and grants and not about what is good for our planet. However, if there has to be a Wind Farm, this is a rather grand one and looks well in this landscape.
