THE HOLE PATH
Dodging between thunderstorms today.
Spent the day around the Hole of Horchum, on the North Yorkshire Moors. Our visit included a chat with Denise, who is a Volunteer Ranger with the National Parks. She was busy checking the state of the footpaths.
This area is grand to walk in but is also a haven for archaeologists . Amongst other items it shows an iron-age dyke, built over 2000 years ago as part of a fortified farmstead, and bronze-age barrows (burial mounds) nearly 4000 years old.
I hope you all have a grand week !
