Flat as a pancake

Yesterday No2 son and I sat outside, camera's at the ready, waiting for the impressive moonrise. It was pretty cool but completely in the wrong spot for us to get good pics. There's a tree line right where it was coming up so all the best big orange pics were ruined by the trees. If I had thought ahead we might have driven somewhere to get a clearer view of it, but I hadn't taken into account which part of the sky it would be in. Not to worry, we had fun sitting out on our picnic blanket snapping away, covered in deet to keep the mozzies away this time.

As my moon shots were not worth blipping, this is a bit of Texas countryside from earlier in the day. Note the rolling hills and lushious woodlands, oh no, my mistake...LOL although if you look on large there is a tractor, for a bit of pictoral interest :0)
