Three Rivers Petroglyphs
"The petroglyphs at Three Rivers, dating back to between about 200-1450 AD, were created by Jornada Mogollon people who used stone tools to remove the dark patina on the exterior of the rock. More than 21,000 glyphs of birds, humans, animals, fish, insects and plants, as well as numerous geometric and abstract designs are scattered over 50 acres of New Mexico's northern Chihuahuan Desert." (from the brochure)
We went to walk among the White Sands dunes.
We stopped to see the Petroglyphs.
The Sacramento Mountains wore snowy chiffon
Fluffy enough to float away, or so it seemed.
Yet, nothing is what it seems here.
Everything is surreal
No sound, I mean noooo sound
Can you Imagine it?
What does your mind do with that void?
Whispers from the past.....
