88 Not Out

A better score than England!

Today Mum held a birthday party to celebrate her 88th. I was barman and was kept pretty busy from 12 till after 6, as guests came and went at her "At Home".

It was a scorching hot day, but with bags of shade on the terrace, no-one succumbed to heat exhaustion! Later we popped down the road to George's for a quick bite of supper.

For her 90th, her friends are planning a street party!
