Boats in the fog

Finally got out today for a short slow walk, much better than no walk! The sky was quite clear when I left home but the fog moved in and thickened as I walked. Plenty of water on the road. I walked a bit on the trail but it was so wet and mucky that I stuck mostly to the road. I was glad to get a shot of the boats in the fog, ethereal and beautiful. I only saw a couple of other people, although there were plenty of parked cars along the road and in the two parking lots. A man and his dog walked by as I was taking this, and he said that it looked like the end of the world out there. No view of Vancouver Island today. Extra: flooding around the welcome poles, and the path into them might be washed out with more rain because it almost is already.
The rain has started again and we're expecting a lot tonight and tomorrow. Warnings about landslides and flooding in quite a few places around the province. The same man told me that the lake by the side of the main road to town has flooded again but not as badly as it did in the last atmospheric river when it caused lots of damage to the road. Might take a drive tomorrow to have a look.
