Herald the Day….

Very early this morning I walked down to the foreshore hoping to catch the light…. and I did. The scene at the entrance to the estuary was magical despite the cloud cover. I was very happy to spend time there. Margaret, Steve and I finished packing up our gear, clearing our rental caravan and loading up the vehicles. Alex drove in the pick up our camp beds and big camping chair. He keeps them in Marahau for family use. We called in to Mapua for coffee and then drove to Nelson. Steve is staying there with his Mum for a few days. Margaret and I drove on to Blenheim and home. It’s lovely to see Maisie and my cats. They have been so well-cared for by our lovely house-sitters
