Chez Camille
What a stunning Saturday in late January! We ventured out to explore the beaches in Ramatuelle on the far side of Saint Tropez, and found this hidden little cove overlooked by a seafood restaurant called Chez Camille. Before lunch we walked along the beach with Daftie, then dined on fish soup with the most wonderful spicy rouille, and fresh grilled daurade and St. Pierre. As we ate, a thirty-foot yacht dropped anchor out in the bay and sent in a drone to the beach to pick up a carry-out from the restaurant. It made three trips to pick up lunch in instalments, though the third one very nearly ended up in the sea. The most unusual carry-out I’ve ever witnessed!
My extras were taken on the walk around the cove, and in the restaurant, as we sat down to eat. By the time we had finished it was almost full.
