Cliff Edge
Between the showers this morning Ollie and I had a walk up round the cliffs. Lots of pink thrift still flowering and bird's foot trefoil, commonly known as eggs and bacon because of its yellow and red colouring, is appearing everywhere.
We had another rehearsal this afternoon, followed by singing in a concert this evening. We didn't actually meet the Russian conductor until today, but he was wonderful, and really got every last bit of energy from us! Being mostly Stravinsky, the concert was powerful and exciting. Our bit went down very well and as we were sitting up on the stage, we got to enjoy the rest of the concert from the best possible position. A great view of the orchestra. The percussion was incredible - didn't know what most of the instruments actually were, but they sounded terrific!
