Calke Abbey

The forecast was for a sunny day so I headed off to Calke Abbey, a National Trust property in Derbyshire.

The light was stunning. It was amazingly quiet and peaceful, largely regular dog walkers and I just wandered and enjoyed the light, colours, and the birds that Merlin told me were around.

My blip is of the house itself. I’ve blipped it many times but today that intense blue sky and the less usual angle just appealed.

The RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch is now on, for three days starting today.
