Water colour estuary
It’s close to sunset when we leave the house. I’ve planned to photograph the Conwy estuary looking out from Conwy town towards the river’s narrow mouth but despite the forecast, clouds have now blocked off the sun and the light is grey and flat. With low tide, this means the mud flats have taken on a dark and heavy feel; the whole scene feels just gloomy and depressing.
There’s another viewpoint further along the banks which provides a brighter and more open view which I’ve desaturated to give a faded water colour quality.
