Blue Skies During Gales

Raining first thing, a cloudy morning.  A bright and sunny afternoon.  Strong gales blowing all day, flat calm and clear tonight.

Up at 5am, a 12hr early shift in the airport.  Mostly working on the check-in desk, boarded a couple of flights.  Our first flights were cancelled, due to high winds on the mainland, with more delays throughout the day.  A lovely evening for walkies with Sammy this evening.  Mam popped by for a cuppa.  Off to bed early.

Headed out the door at lunchtime, the sun was shining, so I headed for a brisk walk.  Looking at this quick snap, you could be fooled into thinking it had been a lovely, which it was to a certain extent, but that wind, it was strong and viscous.  It seems like January is going to be on of those traditional windy months.  Taken st Toab, Virkie.
