Squirrel

My poor Germans were today faced with the words "biscuit", "wilderness" and "squirrel" in a text we read (after discussing their thoughts on the recent protest marches against the AfD).  Surpisingly squirrel was happily assimilated, the other two, less so.
Bis-quit and Wild-erness were greatly favoured, I shall have to remember to write them on the board next week and see if the correct pronunciations come out...
