Choices

There were several pictures I could have chosen for today but I opted for a montage of four taken at the Veterans Breakfast this morning.
Forty-six of us met at the Upperdeck Restaurant at the marina which opened specifically for us. The first breakfast of 2024 was well attended and we were very well looked after, we enjoyed unlimited coffee and OJ courtesy of a £50 donation from a fellow Veteran, not of our group but from further west, who wanted Veterans to enjoy a hot drink on him over the Christmas period.
We had a few newcomers who were made to feel welcome.

From there it was dropping off Mrs S at home before heading straight over to Redruth Rugby Club to take part in a bucket collection on behalf of Epic. Bitterly cold but we were cheered by watching Redruth beat the much fancied Clifton.
At the final whistle we had another five/ten minutes collecting but we headed home pretty sharpish in order to warm up except that I never quite made it. I stopped off at at Falmouth Rugby Club to watch Sam and her teammates introducing local ladies to rugby through the Allianz Inner Warrior Camps. Lots of them there, let’s hope some take the sport up.

I left them to it and having purchased some pretty ‘ropey’ fish & chips for dinner Mrs S and I enjoyed an evening in with the fire lit and some TV.
