Catching up and Callicarpa

All of us were slow to rise this morning, but quickly decided to catch up with MrK's two brothers and families, bearing thank-you notes from FK and Kendal mint cake! Starting with Jo and Vince and both their sons were there, both in their early twenties, but good for FK to have cousins nearer to his age to chat with. It's easier now they're older.
As we left, this gorgeous Callicarpa was blowing in the vicious wind, holding up, but difficult to capture when moving so wildly. Their pop of colour is a joy when everything around is so grey and dark.
On to Tiptree to see Lee and Caroline. He had just got back from another half marathon with his running club...he's an extreme runner!
Lovely to catch up with them, especially Caroline, who has been working on many family get togethers. It's been too long.

The wind is getting wilder.
