'Sloe' day

Woke up for park run, but felt absolutely awful with a banging headache and dodgy tummy. Back to bed with paracetamol. 
MrK and FK went up to London to use their Christmas pressie from Lizzie and Steve...They went to The Light Room at King's Cross to see Moonwalkers with Tom Hanks writing and narrating the stories of Apollo missions set to music and 360° images. They loved it then went off to the Imperial War Museum. 
I showered and dressed around midday, and took another tablet still feeling groggy.
Time to strain the Sloe gin. It's a beautiful pinky red colour and I decided to leave the sugar syrup until this stage and just added it gradually until I thought it was right. I'd also added almond extract to the sugar syrup for extra flavour. Yum!
I had a quick outing to Lathcoats, the farmshop, but didn't fancy stopping for a cuppa, so just made avocado on sourdough toast with a couple of poached eggs.
The boys came home full of their trip.
Glad they've enjoyed each others company.
