Hanging on

It was a wild wild night. The sign fell off completely about an hour later. We lost a decent portion of our back fence and a few tiles from the roof. If S hadn't gorilla-taped the conservatory roof panels down last night they'd have been gone too. Neighbours lost fences, roof tiles, a chicken coop, greenhouse panes and chimney bits.

My (rescheduled from last week because of the snow) lunch date had to be rerescheduled for next week due to the wind. Its been a bonkers day, high winds with one (or more) of the following at any given time: snow, hail, rain, sleet and sunshine.

With the unexpected time I had a go at making hot process soap for the first time. Not sure how it's turned out, (gut instinct says 'not great') but will get a better idea when I unmould/cut it in a couple of days. I also made up a batch of wash for the Edinburgh Hotel.
