Back to Barcelona

Didn’t think I would be back her so soon! It’s only 9weeks since Ben and I packed so much into 2.5 days!

S had not been before and fancied going for his birthday. There was not a lot of choice . Had to be short haul for a week with some warm sun not a cold place. And in the dates available due to curling commitments. And of course a reasonable price. Not the canaries as I’m not a pool/all inclusive/boozy holiday person.

When here with Ben Didn't get to museums or art galleries so we are here for one week and plan on doing a couple of day trips too by train.

Dave and Ben picked up up at 7am . We drove through some real heavy rain on the way to the airport. Dropped off at the door and then a pastry and coffee at Pret then it was boarding for the take off at 9:55.. a civilised time to fly no getting up at 3 am for a 6:30 flight.

Ben and his dad were doing some plane spotting and sent up a video of our plane taking off.

We arrived in Barcelona 30 mins ahead of schedule it only took 2 hours. Speedy through passport control and on to the bus which was waiting just outside the terminal building. Weather a balmy 15 and sunny!

After being dropped off at Placa Catalunya we had the short walk to the same hotel Ben and I stayed in. Alas no upgrade to a room with a terrace this time. That would be too good to be true.

We’ve had a walk, food and more walk and now back to the hotel for a chill and to plan the week.


Ps the food was amazing. Mine was a vegetable omelette on warmed baguette and S had a burger with egg and chips and a beer. All the was 12€!
