New life

I went for a walk this afternoon with my daughter to the Windlesham Field of Remembrance. We took our "new" cameras and, although the light was fading, I managed to get a couple of decent shots including the main photo of new growth on a felled tree. I liked the contrast between the orange on the trunk and the deep green of the sprigs. The question is, will they develop into a full blown tree if left alone. I doubt they will be left to their own devices as there appears to have been quite a lot of clearance going on in this part of the wooded area bordering the Field of Remembrance.  We made it back home just as Storm Isha was beginning to make itself felt with strong gusts of wind and bursts of rain.
