Unexpected
Warm, a bit of sun and dry.
Took a turn round the garden to see how it is faring and were surprised to see the leaf buds swelling in the apple tree.
The tree is a peculiar shape having been in the shadow of the willows that were given a serious pollarding a couple of years ago, and last year we started thinning out some of the crossed over branches. With the bare boughs it was easy to see what still needed thinning so we took advantage of the weather to do some pruning.
The brash went through the shredder, the bigger stuff was sawn up for next year’s kindling.
Unplanned but quite satisfying.
Still sunny and 11 degrees!
