Sir Thomas More

Henrietta, Heidi and I went to see the Holbeins at the Queen’s Gallery. I have realised if I can find the time I have to seize it and take days off and do things in the working week.  It was very crowded but a lovely exhibition.  Heidi, a writer, put it like this in an email to me afterwards, “Incredible how the tiniest flick of ink along an eyelid, or a few specks of stubble can nail the essence of a soul long silent” which expresses it better than I ever could.

We had a quick lunch at an indifferent Italian, where they didn’t know how to make an affogato and then I walked through Green Park in the bright winter’s sun to pick up some mending from the dry cleaners I use for special in Mayfair.

Watched the three final episodes of Fargo which was brilliant. Although a glitch first off meant we only had sound for the final scene to start with but we went back and sorted it and watched it again.
