More baking

After a very hot night the clouds cleared, the northerly wind picked up and it reached 31C at 4pm. It’s been a similar temperature, but quite a different feel from yesterday’s humid heat. The plants definitely preferred the clouds: most things have wilted badly in the sun and wind today.

I kept going on jobs outdoors until lunchtime but then gave it up as a stupid idea and retreated inside to relax.

Bean has been very relaxed all day; mostly occupying my windowseat in the truck. It is too hot even for her. She’s had ice cubes at regular intervals, which she loves.

It’s going to be cooler tomorrow. And I’ll have to put some clothes on again…
