Mrs P

Up and out by 9am today (early for me) as it was the first day of my Edinburgh Uni literature reflection course (very good). Completely serendipitously the lady sitting next to me in the class was also in the bed next to me when I gave birth to son no 1, nearly 30 years ago (she’d just given birth to a little girl). We hadn’t seen each other for about 29 years, so needless to say, had to go for an impromptu lunch. Off to Leith on the tram in the afternoon as Mr P and I had invited son no 3 (Dan) and his girlfriend (Sinéad) out for a meal before going to St Mary’s Episcopalian Cathedral for a Candlelight Concert of Ludovico Einaudi’s music (Christmas present from Sinéad). So cold when we were queuing outside but very atmospheric and soothing inside. Back to Leith to pick up Dan and Sinead as they’re staying overnight with us in Peebles. Memorable day.
