NT Formby Point
Friday 19th January 2024
Friends (fellow blipper Tigg and hubby) arrived safely yesterday and we had a lovely evening. Today we went out to explore the coast, starting with a bracing walk at Crosby to inspect the Antony Gormley Statues. The wind was rather bracing so we moved on to Formby woods where it was a little more sheltered, for most of the way at least. (The walkers in the photo are general public) Unfortunately we didn't see any red squirrels.
After a light lunch in Formby we went on to Southport, for a drive along the coast and another little walk to the Marine lake. Again the wind was bracing and also going even colder. We chose to return home for a cuppa and a game of Skyjo, which they had kindly brought. We had a good few laughs over it.
This evening we had a cheese and champagne evening, when I invited three other friends to join us.
Oh, and by the way, today is the 10th anniversary of my Induction as Vicar here.
