Capability grounds - Weston Park

This is the view from our window of the wonderfully named Richard room at Weston Park.
The park runs to a 1000 acres and is absolutley stunning with the influence of Capability Brown all over it.
Capability was not his real name it was actually Lancelot but he earned the moniker as when asked by landowners what he thought of the upcoming project he answered 'it has capabiities!'.
Wonderful man who has left his mark in the best possible way all over England.
The grounds are home to the upcoming V festival which this year sees Beyonce headlining and with a 3 week set up and 2 week dismantle is after Glastonbury the biggest UK music festival.
In the grounds and art gallery there is currently an exhibition by internationally renowned artist Peter Walker, you can see one of his sculptures in the centre of the lawn.
