Albion Motors

Behind Biggar High Street this colourful old workshop boldly proclaims Albion Motors.

As far as I can establish Albion Motors was established in 1899 by John Blackwood Murray and his brother in law Norman Fulton in Scotstoun, Glasgow.

JBM was the son of Biggar Architect John Lamb Murray who purchased an early Albion motor car. The original car is now owned by Biggar Museum.

Every year the Biggar Albion Foundation hold a vintage car rally in Biggar show ground.
