Youth and the Elderly

Feeling like -8°C but with endless sunshine and a deep blue sky overhead, that was Edinburgh this Thursday. Not one flake of snow floated to earth as all the while I watched pictures of so much of the north of Scotland hidden under drifts of the white stuff with most of their services on hold. It is strange how Edinburgh has avoided the snow  but we did get the Baltic temperatures.

This afternoon I had an appointment with the bank to discuss organising my bank accounts for better interest. My adviser was 21, younger than 4 of my grandchildren.
Nothing like that to make me feel ancient and incapable.

With that financial business over I met up with daughter #1 for a coffee, bringing one of the coldest day of the winter to a warm close.

With no snowy scene to blip, my Christmas Eve tulip has a death bed exposure. It’s the bin for it tomorrow.
