The Princesses and the Pea
The snow has decided to give Edinburgh a miss today and instead we have blue skies, sunshine and a temperature which officially feels like -5°. Orkney on the other hand has had the biggest dump of snow in years and my swimming Selkies seem to be confined to barracks.
I was out and about absorbing the sunshine and buying plant pots for Princess and the Pea. Princess’s transplant went ahead on the kitchen table and she is now recovering in the sunshine on the window ledge. Pea is beside her in the sun but his tap root is still surviving in water and not yet ready to be put into soil.
There was another Princess in the ‘hood’ today. Princess Anne , the Chancellor of Edinburgh University was visiting George Square this afternoon and her outriders had parked their motorbikes very neatly outside the Informatics Forum building.
Needless to say, had I known she was coming I would have extended an invitation to her to pop in for a cuppa.
