White Streets

At some time last night, the freezing rain turned into normal rain and then into snow. So I got a bit of exercise with shoveling snow in front of the house and on our bit of the street.  

The streets and sidewalks are still a bit slippery where the ice layer is just buried under snow. But I could go for a walk, after the snowfall stopped around lunchtime. Even though I only had time for a short one, this felt much better than being stuck in the house all day,  

The main roads have been cleared and salted, so they are back to their usual black, but the smaller residential streets are still looking pretty in white. It probably wont last long before it all turns into slush.
