Seriously?

Love is all around

Maybe it's because bro was with me when they finally arrived after their ordeal journey from Turkey, (here) and for the rest of that day we took it in in turns to give them attention, especially Harry who was in quite a panic. Gareth spent a lot of time that first evening calming him with softly spoken quiet affection whilst I took care of Rufus.  Whatever ithe reason, my cat and my brother loved each other instantly. Normally, Harry allows no one near him, except me and occasionally Graham back in Akbuk, so this is very unusual. Rufus of course, loves, and is loved by everyone but has a streak of jealousy when Harry settles down with bro for a nap on his lap. That's ok, Gareth has a stroking device on the end of each arm.

My day included meeting a woman (and her dog) on the green and whilst our woofers played chase in the sunshine, I learned that she bought a summer home in Akbuk eight years ago (small world) but the place was built with unresolved  problems so she never goes there. I'm going to try to help because, well, I know people. :)

I went to Currys/PC World to look at new Smart televisions in anticipation of having internet installed tomorrow. They all seem so very LARGE, at home cinema contenders,  but I suppose TV is the focal point in our living rooms these days, as the fireplace, or hearth,  once was. Sometimes I think watching a coal or log fire burn would be more interesting that British television.

Bro came for dinner and we ended up watching "How I met Your Mother' as probably the most entertaining programme on TV at the time. 'nuff said.
