Feathers are a great insulator

Took Holly to Rouken Glen this morning …… a change of venue for us both.

The large pond was completely frozen apart from one small area of open water between the Boathouse Cafe and the island.
The ducks and gulls had to share while the two adult swans were happy to sit or stand on the ice. No sign of their offspring so guess they have flown off to their new forever homes.

Snow was forecast but at 5.30 there is no sign of the white stuff. We had rain this afternoon and if there is a heavy frost the pavements could be treacherous tomorrow.
