One More Thing We Must Do.....

Winter has decided to pay us a visit over the next two or three days, so it was cold and getting colder by the minute outside this morning as we gathered together to praise and worship God.  We were grateful for our nice warm facilities as we began our service with a congregational song and a welcome by Matt.  Following that, we were blessed to witness a sweet baptism after which the choir, orchestra and all our wonderful accompanists presented a worshipful version of "God Leads Us Along".  The congregation lifted our voices in more songs of praise and then Pastor Wes took us back into Psalm 22 to remind us that there is one more thing we must do when God seems distant.  Last week, he told us that the first thing we must do is to cry out to God and the second thing is we must trust Him to answer us as He has in the past.  Our prayers may not have been answered exactly as we might have preferred, but they were answered according to God's plan for us.  But, the one thing we must do and often easily forget is we must praise and thank Him for His answers to our prayers.  We should make it a regular part of our personal time with God and if the opportunity presents itself, we should share our answered prayers with others.  You never know who you might encourage by doing that!  Stay warm and be careful on what might be icy roads.
