For the family

Job done

This was the hanging rail that we put up yesterday. It was a bit of a challenge as the rod is telescopic and when extended and holding items needs a support in the centre to stop it flexing. The weird ladder was needed for that bracket.  These three wall hangings are the last to go up and make such a difference to the bare landing wall. When I sit up in bed I can see the two on the left through the open door.

A day of bit and pieces.

I plan to watch ‘Call the Midwife’ this evening. A new series started last week and I discovered when watching that it is set in the late ‘60’s. I did my midwifery training in Worcester at that period of time, so many memories and scary situations, as well as happy times. The joys of riding a pushbike, whatever the weather, all over the city. I was skinny, fit and in my ‘20’s so coped. I have a photo of the 5 students that were in my group, taken as we were going out to do our home visits. I’m the one in the middle of the picture.  It’s not very good quality and we shouldn’t really be posing in front of a no parking sign!!!
