Ings Parish Hall

Back in 1650 Rowland Wilson, who was born in Ings but made his fortune in London as a wine merchant, endowed his birthplace with a school. This building was rebuilt in 1859 to take its present form. In 1972 the school was closed and local children now attend school in Staveley just down the road (the school there dates from 1755!).

In 1979 the building reopened as village hall and is much used by the community. Today was the village Fayre and we were there having fun.
