Bridges and castles

Today, SparseRunner, Django and I joined the 2nd Saturday Strollers, organised by blipper AndrewDBurns. Two other blippers were there, as well as a lot of others... We met in South Queensferry, walked under the new road bridge towards Hopetoun House. The house was closed so we walked round it towards Blackness castle (great views!). At the far side, the group was going to have lunch and come back. We decided to continue towards Bo'ness "and take the bus back" says SparseRunner...  Another member of the party came with us.Blackness Castle is great and there is a great view from it. The walk from Blackness to Bo'ness is less interesting (I had done the whole walk before as part of the John Muir Way).
Coming back from Bo'ness was not as simple as predicted. We took a bus, then a train, then another bus .. so ended up home at 6pm, having finished walking at 3pm. Still it was a beautiful day, we met lots of lovely people and I really enjoyed it.
