London weekend

Used my senior rail card for the first time today - drove to Ely and then train to Cambridge North and on to Liverpool Street as the usual route into Kings Cross was closed for engineering work. A slow route but at least I had my Airpods, music and a good book. To the Barbican Centre first for an exhibition of 'Poor Things' costumes. Walked through the city and down across Tower Bridge and along the South Bank before heading to the BFI Southbank via Seven Dials and various other locations. We were there for a Werner Herzog season: 'Aguirre Wrath of God' followed by 'My Best Fiend' about Herzog's relationship with Klaus Kinski. That was followed by a journey to our hotel in Brick Lane - settled in with a beer and some films. A good day and plenty of steps.
