Turd

In triplicate. I have a complicated relationship with gift giving. I love to give a carefully chosen item but don't love recieving gifts. Getting a gift from the parents as a thank you was well meant and kindly received. 

The terms and conditions of using the card are less so. We are in need of a small item of furniture, I saw that a shop where I could spend the voucher had something suitable. We logged in to find that the voucher was then locked to the furniture company and was split into two parts. One larger and one smaller. Instead of being able to use the voucher in it's entirity to put towards something useful we had to put the rest towards buying two things. Arguably needed but this is just encouraging people to spend more money which defeats the whole point of a gift.  I'm not sure if all the companies which accept these vouchers do that but I would never buy one or wish to receive this again. 

We went out for a walk later where I stood in a dog turd while attempting to get a trolly photo. I put the small amount of money towards a toilet brush which sums up the gift card experience.
