Damsel Fly

Delighted to see the damsel flies are back in our garden pond. A beautiful, warm sunny day , spent some time pottering around the garden, then waiting by the pond for the damsel flies to settle.

Eventually this tiny one settled for a very short time. Would it choose an uncluttered spot? No , off course it had to settle in the middle of some water plants with leaves crisscrossing each other. So not the best background but still a good sharp image to start the season off.

memo to self; do some clearing around the pond plants.

Large has some very fine sharp detail which might be worth a look.
