Decisions

Raheny_Eye is caught between a rock and a bull seal. He is trying to weigh up which is the more dangerous. An amorous bull seal in Dun Laoghaire harbour or the rocky dive in Dalkey. For today it is the Vico in Dalkey. He is used to having the expanse of the harbour in Dun Laoghaire but there is only a sliver of space between the rocks in the Vico if you want a good dive. Some of the women swimmers called on his depth of water knowledge to ask him if it was safe to jump off the ledge into the water. His health and safety statement reply was for them to jump out far and they should be alright. I am going to put that answer down with my list of famous last words. His coup de grace was when one of them asked him if the porpoise which was swimming around nearby would bite. He told her she would be alright as long as she did not smell of mackerel. 

I am not back swimming yet but might give it a go next week. After the Vico we headed off to Finnegans in Dalkey for a coffee, a tea and a natter.
