View from The Arch Inn

There is a narrow road immediately outside the Arch Inn, a strip of beach, and then Loch Broom. That's where I took this photo, just before nine o'clock this morning.

From Ullapool, we drove back south-east to Inverness, picking up the A9 for our drive to the M74 and thence home.

It was a lovely, long, leisurely drive, and I couldn't have been much happier, really, at least until we got to Oxenholme, where I dropped the Minx off so she could catch the train to Salford.

I'd planned to take Dan and Abi out for dinner, this evening, but Abi was double-booked, leaving Dan and I took go for a curry - yay! - followed by drinks at the Royal Barn, where we were joined by Abi and a couple of her friends. All in all, it was a splendid evening.
