End of days

I noticed as I left work tonight that it was lighter than at the same time before the Christmas break. Sunrise time has hardly altered, but sunset is a whole 16 minutes later, and it shows.

It was good to be back at work and to see everybody again. The cafe was very busy at lunchtime. A new rota system is being trialled and my role all day long was floater/toulets/ spot cleaning., with a list of tasks which included laundry, wrapping cutlery and covering colleagues on their lunch break. As well as keeping the toilets spotless all day :-)

I had a sauna after work and then caught the bus home. We had a new passenger, a woman whose car was in the garage. I don’t think she had ever used her free bus pass before, but she was mightily impressed. It’s quite a nice wee bus community and the driver knows us all by name. One of the passengers always gives him a bar of chocolate on a Friday.
