Cleveleys near Blackpool.

We drove in the rain to meet our two friends on the beach and as we arrived the sun broke through and the rain clouds moved on. The furry friends enjoyed the sand , the sea, the play whilst we enjoyed a good catch up and made plans for a getaway in the spring. We caught up on the personal stuff , the political stuff and on the various projects that they are involved with, including women’s aid which I am also involved with but only as an ally these days .The battle is never won and improvements only maintained while we keep our eye on things . Like many other matters of social justice and improvement.

This is a link to a radio 4 programme, aired yesterday, about domestic violence in the UK. Part of a series by Louise Casey looking at challenges faced by whoever wins our next general election. I thought it was well produced, informative and succinct.
