Social Friday

As usual we went to the Newcomers’ coffee morning and had an enjoyable time.  We walked back home in time to welcome blipper Mima and her delightful dog, Bean, who came for lunch and also to deliver eggs, which we’re looking forward to trying. We had a very convivial couple of hours together.

After Mima and Bean left I changed into my painting gear and put a second top coat on the stairs.  I will check in the morning once the paint has dried and decide whether it needs a third coat, but it’s certainly looking better than it did this morning.  MrMacD spent time preparing his sourdough loaves, designed a birthday card for my daughter and cooked supper.

One of the apple trees has a good crop of apples that are slowly turning red.  It’ll be interesting to taste them when they’re ripe.
