A glimmer of light (Day 3160)

Unusually, it wasn't raining this morning as I got in the van and made my way out to Evie to do a bit more on the house re-furb.
I spent a while capping off all the ends of pipe and checking that everything looked ok before venturing into the loft and hooking the new pipework onto the water main. Surprisingly there were no leaks. In celebration I got the majority of the pipework lagged before heading off mid afternoon.
I had a boiler breakdown to attend to, but stopped in to see Mum and Dad now that Dad is home from hospital. As I arrived at their house, there was a glimmer of sunlight in the sky. Dad is tired but doing well.
The boiler job didn't take long to sort out and I was soon back home with my beautiful wife
