What a remarkable shape! You can see it for blocks, bright lines against a striped sky. It’s for pumping concrete. This area has been under repair for months to strengthen the sea wall and stabilize the road and foot path. You need a drone to see the actual work being done, but my guess is that they quickly repaired any forms that were damaged in the last storm and then poured as much concrete as they could manage before it rains again.

I finally realized that it reminds me of Louise Bourgeois’ Spiders….
