New Years Day Walk

Welcome to 2024

I didn’t sleep too well and slept a bit later but even although had quite a bit to do for the New Year Day with the Gang plus Kevin and Paul we were determined to make the most of the stunning day and have a walk up the Golf Course. The views from up here are 360 degrees and are tremendous. We could see as far as the Grampian Mountain range and also away down Callander way to Ben Ledi.

There were a few people walking dogs but mostly didn’t see anyone. I love this view and also can see the back of our house in front of the Primary School. In fact there are 5 schools in a half mile radius!

Home and full on food prep and cook and my trifle to make. All was fine until I remembered Paul is a veggie so rustled up a mac and cheese too.

We had steak pies, roasties, mashed tats, carrots, peas, Brussels and gravy. Tasty. Followed by the trifle and then some games.

We did a toast to 2024 and to GG (mum) much missed again.

It was a good time tinged with sadness, another first passed.

We had a bit of Yellowstone and then some of Western Stars that Bruce filmed which I found on Apple TV.
